While many consider Cyclonic Rift an auto-include in any deck with blue, I dont know that I would play it here
Even if I have two creatures, its effectively like Bone Pit Giant will deal full damage to each one individually
The beauty of the card is in its flexibility, though: you can build in packages of artifacts, enchantments, or the like, and power them out with a well-timed Umori play, giving you a lot of options that a companion brew just wouldnt offer.
This will prevent all damage done to you by attacking non-flyers this turn

Given that blue only has one Escape common and its not a creature, I suspect this will be better in GU and UB decks and not as stellar in all blue decks
