As a mono-white creature, Gandalf the White can easily fit into any deck with white mana, making it even more flexible
You exile some cards from your graveyard and deal direct damage
WUBRG decks are always a little tricky to judge if they're not blatantly powerful right out of the box, and because the theming of this deck is so cool, it feels disruptive to try and make upgrades to it, so it's almost a case of being a precon that you shouldn't upgrade, but yet it desperately needs it
Its even better when many such cards can make their home in your Command Zone, approximately doubling the threat level of their explosively-growing statline: Korvold, Fae-Cursed King Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest Kresh the Bloodbraided Juri, Master of the Revue Grismold, the Dreadsower Of course, that doesnt even get into all the ways other sacrifice commanders like Syr Konrad, the Grim or Meren of Clan Nel Toth are able to profit off the ebb and flow of the battlefield
