Theres basically an infinite number of ways to make this blue creature insane
Alaynas description of the process involved with the middle three lands made me immediately think of the famous Sherlock Holmes quote about horses: Dangerous on both ends, and crafty in the middle. How many times, in both Commander deck-building and gameplay, do we know what to expect at both the beginning and the end, yet its the questions in the middle that seem to be the most intensive
This not only allows your deck to have access to additional colors but also helps get around the command tax since each of your commanders gets its own command tax, helping ensure you always have something to play from the command zone if you have nothing better to do
I added Grand Warlord Radha to help with that, too
[1] In the the couple of months after that post was made it started to become clear that with the exception of both Charizard and Pichu, all of the cards appeared to match those usually found as 1st Edition in Japans Pokmon-e Starter Deck
The downsides are that you must have a Basic Pokemon in play for at least one turn, but this is basic Pokemon rules so nothing new - and that each player benefits from this, so definitely something to consider when running this card
