Id say multiple cards that are good enough to see play in Modern means it did
Its not quite Cackling Counterpart, but itll still be a useful part of a toolbox in many red decks which dont also play blue
There's also Gond Gate which is not only a gate itself, but makes all your other gates enter untapped
That could be an Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Avacyn, Angel of Hope you're popping into play for the low price of 3 mana and bouncing a tapped creature back to your hand, which is possibly additional upside with the right ETB creatures
These builds generally pull lands out of the deck with Sword of the Animist and Sword of Hearth and Home, and they tend to run 33-36 lands in a bid for efficiency
