His mother Carol worked in the gallery for Jon and Gail. A memorial was set up for Jay to support projects in the park, and Jon painted A Story In Stone to help raise money for his memorial. Jon used the Norbeck Visitor Center for A Story in Stone because Jay had worked on its renovation.
