While it doesnt do much other than that, its a cheap 1/5 in Jeskai, and you can fill your deck with other buff effects
Quite a nasty powerful one at that, as youre essentially stealing the best creature ability from an opponents board while leaving them with a flaming bag of poop in its place
Glacial Chasm is a wacky land by todays standards, as it doesnt provide any mana for you, and it also pings you for two life for every age counter on it via its cumulative upkeep abilities (far from one of the best upkeep effects ever)
If you activate Thought Lash three times, you effectively get three shields that prevent you from taking 1 damage, and you get to decide how those are dispensed

The only other card to give everything double strike is Avatar of SlaughterAvatar of Slaughter (also in the deck), but goading everything on top of double strike means the game is going to end very soon
