I never appreciated the “greens of summer” until I started visiting the creeks

Twelve lanes of Interstate traffic roars across this idyllic creek unbeknownst to the travelers

I’m interested to know what becomes of the property

Yellow Maple Streaming South Designed to accompany the StreamingBaskins Creek Trail, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 2012 From the series Autumn Stillness A quiet moment in time. Frustrated by the traffic on the road, I hiked along the trail and in 10 minutes was completely alone. Then the fog rolled in and the peace and serenity enveloped me.
