The main consideration is it is much weaker if graveyards stay empty or only contain one or two card types

You can't activate an ability that advances a Class to a particular level if that Class is already that level or higher

Once you get comfortable with that, a lot of other rules text starts making more sense

Battle of Frost and Fire - The big notice here is that if you can have enough dragons survive the 4 damage wrath effect, and time it right, you can end up drawing a good couple of cards, on top of being a one-sided wipe, when it hits the third lore

Mana: This defines how much mana you need to play each card
