In Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, the two things have been fused
Cecil Harvey (Tymna the Weaver) A personal favorite (seriously, I adore Final Fantasy IV), Tymna, the Weaver's design is another card that fits the flavor of the character well
Troll of Khazad-dm Troll of Khazad-dm comes from the big, dumb creature mold of trolls, but it does that job so well
It doesn't copy any information about the object the card was before it was put into your graveyard
With this, Mathas can incentivize your opponents to use their removal on threats that you want removed, potentially deterring players from using their removal on cards on your creatures, and letting you keep your best cards around a little bit longer
The downside was that it meant a bunch more words on already wordy cards for very little gameplay relevance
