This deck is largely being built with cards I have lying around, so while Kodama's Reach might be an obvious card to include, I simply didn't have a spare one available

The number one sorcery I hoped to see (and did once) was Sunfall

If your Commander has Choose a Background, you may choose any one Background card that will essentially function as a second Commander, adding its color identity to your deck, and following the rules of Commander tax and going back to the command zone when it would move from the battlefield to anywhere else

To be fair, punisher mechanics that force your foe to choose something, with one of them doing damage, has been a part of Red in the past

(6/6/2025) If the ability that's copied is modal (that is, it says "Choose one " or the like), the copy will have the same mode

But in Magic, expectations often get flipped upside down in a single move and a single card can alter the entire board
