RARE EARLY CHRISTIAN RING, 3RD-6TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 9 ¾+ scottish The cross as a decorative3rd 6th Century AD. Slightly under size 10. Gilt bronze, 2. 9mm rounded face band with slightly flared flared shoulders. Raised oval bezel cut with a double line cross, obscured by flanking parallel lines. The motif is a profession of faith disguised to protect the wearer as Christianity was not yet universally accepted. The heavy 24karat gold overlay restored for modern wear. Gift box and certificate of authenticity included.
